Crews engaged with Second Alarm fire in Long Beach - NewsBreak

Both Long Beach Fire Department and Los Angeles County Fire Department crews were engaged with a Second Alarm structure fire in Long Beach Friday afternoon. It was unknown what caused the blaze, which was located inside of a structure that appeared to be a warehouse on 69th Street. Two people were rescued from inside of the structure, though their statuses were not immediately available. Long Beach Fire disclosed via Twitter that there were multiple reports of explosions from within the building.With Sky9 overhead, noticeable damage could be seen on the exterior of the structure, as the roof appeared to have collapsed as a result of the fire. Crews were working in defensive mode, battling the blaze from above via ladder due to the potential danger posed by the structural damage the building had already sustained.This is a developing story. Officials identified 19-year-old Joshua Adonai Manzanares who died after a crash in La Jolla (San Diego, CA)

Officials identified 19-year-old Joshua Adonai Manzanares, of Lake Elsinore, as the teenager who was killed following a suspected DUI crash Monday night near Torrey Pines State Beach in La Jolla. The fatal car accident took place on North Torrey Pines Road just after 11 p.m. Joshua Adonai Manzanares was one of four passengers in a 2020 Subaru WRX that was going at a high rate of speed on the southbound side of North Torrey Pines Road. According to the authorities, the Subaru was being driven by another 19-year-old boy when, for undetermined reasons, he lost control of the car and struck the center median before smashing through a guardrail. Due to the impact, Manzanares and another passenger were thrown from the sedan as it went over the ledge, hit multiple rocks, and came to a stop on the beach.
